Official Speaker at Cannes Lions 2025 - a once-in-a-lifetime honour

I’m beyond thrilled to share that I’ve been selected as an official speaker at Cannes Lions 2025 this June. To be part of such a globally respected platform — one that has welcomed some of the world’s most influential voices — is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I’m honoured, humbled, and incredibly excited.

Previous speaking engagements & advocacy

My journey as a speaker and advocate has taken me from London Fashion Week to Face Equality Week, and beyond. I’ve hosted body acceptance workshops for stoma patients in collaboration with Eakin Healthcare, and alongside two close friends, I run 1:1 empowerment photoshoots that help individuals embrace their beauty with confidence.

Championing inclusion & awareness

During Black History Month, I’ve worked with my local hospital to address hair care needs in ICU, especially for those with curly and textured hair, and partnered with nurses to donate appropriate products. I also spoke for the Barbados Association, raising awareness of IBD in the Black community and advocating for earlier diagnosis.

With Crohn’s & Colitis UK, I presented a symptom checker video in Parliament, helping push for faster diagnoses. Other highlights include:

  • Stretch workshop for Women’s Best birthday event, London

  • Q&A with a fellow Women's Best athlete during a seated session

  • Panel host for Women’s Best International Women’s Day event at Flo London

  • Interview with Olympian Amy Fuller for Kurt Geiger/Carvella at their flagship London store

Body acceptance at heart

Body acceptance is the core of my message. Through international media interviews and swimwear shoots, I proudly display my scar to help redefine beauty standards. Every body is a bikini body — and every story deserves to be seen.

TV:

I’ve had the privilege of appearing in documentaries that shine a light on my journey and condition—such as ‘Strictly Amy’ for the BBC alongside Amy Dowden, and Amazon Prime’s ‘Dare to Defy,’ where I joined Richard Whitehead and Adele Roberts. The latter is an inspiring three-part series that underscores the critical need for inclusivity in sports for underrepresented communities. My story takes centre stage in episode 3, showcasing my experiences and progress in the race.

Podcast & Radio

Giving a platform to unheard voices

I had the honour of creating and hosting my own mini-series on BBC Wiltshire called Shapes and Sizes, where I had full creative control. Through this series, I interviewed incredible individuals living with conditions like IBD, Alopecia, Cerebral Palsy, and more — each with their own powerful story to tell. The aim was simple: to shine a light on people who are often overlooked and amplify voices that deserve to be heard. I’m proud of the impact these stories have had on listeners across the UK.

I've also been featured on several platforms including:

  • Beyond the Pouch (Spotify & YouTube)

  • Amber Ostomy Podcast

  • South West regional news and multiple BBC Radio interviews

🎧 Exciting news:
I’m currently working on my own podcast, launching later this year! It will dive deeper into stories of resilience, identity, and self-acceptance. I’ll be sharing more details soon — be sure to check back for updates when it goes live on all major platforms.
